I am Daniel Jones; I have recently graduated from university with an honours degree in Computer Science. Some of my more advanced projects involve cryptography, APIs, and fully responsive websites.
I have a strong thirst for knowledge that leads me to use the latest technology in my work and strive for constant improvement. Because of my position as a freelancer who focuses on output rather than working hours, I can use better techniques that larger business are being slow to adopt such as the CSS grid.
My main technology stack that I use is HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript PHP and Python. All I have put in my tool belt for cross platform development; however I am not limited to them.
I make small websites that can be used by individuals/business and other scenarios such as events. I also provide hosting and maintenance, soon I will also add the ability to edit the websites in seconds without sacrificing the look and the feel of the site.
My websites are from scratch built specifically for your business. I don't use templates like other web developers or large agencies and work from designs you send me or sketches I make that will suit you needs. This means you can stand out of the crowed from your competition and I can continue refining my skills.
This also lets your website be smaller and more efficient letting users load the website a lot faster. The difference between my approach is similar to the difference between buying clothes from a supermarket vs. buying from a Taylor in terms of quality and proper fit.
All of the technology I use is based on open source technology such as PHP, or technology with open standards such as HTML. This means my websites are not dependent on one organization and the base technology can be saved by the general public if the worst comes to happen. As chaotic as the world may be this means my products will still be functional years after.
When I make you a website it is your website and you can do what you want with it. Some features may depend on my services however but I easily help transfer you over to a stand-alone website if requested.
I also use free to use images and Open font licence fonts in my work, allowing for a pretty website without having to worry about 3rd party licencing or copy-write worrys.
